No. 4 UND completed a weekend sweep of Bemidji State on Saturday, beating the Beavers 4-3 in its home opener at Ralph Engelstad Arena, according to UND Athletics.
How it went
Jack Kernan scored the winner with 3:58 left in the third period, off a feed from Sam Laurila, according to UND Athletics and the Grand Forks Herald. Bemidji State had tied the game 3-3 at 15:09 of the third. UND Athletics said a sellout crowd of 11,560 was on hand.
The series opened Friday, Oct. 9, in Bemidji, Minn., where UND won the season opener 3-2. Cole Reschny scored the game-winner with 4:39 left in the third period, per UND Athletics.
By the numbers
UND Athletics said it was the Fighting Hawks' first regulation sweep of the Beavers since October 2016 and their fourth straight win over Bemidji State.
