About Grandforks Local
Who we are
Grandforks Local is an independent local news and information site for Grand Forks, ND. We publish local news drawn from official and organisation sources, a free community events calendar, answer pages on local services (voting, school calendars, permits, hours), and guides to places around Grand Forks.
Grandforks Local is published by Emberlight Studios, a small independent publisher, and run by its editorial desk. We are not affiliated with any government body, political party, candidate or other news outlet.
How we report
Grandforks Local is an AI-assisted local newsroom. Stories are researched and drafted with AI tools working under our written editorial standards: every substantive fact is attributed to a named source, quotes are never invented, unconfirmed details are left out or marked "check ahead," and drafts that fail verification are held rather than published. Answer pages link each fact to the official page it came from and show when it was last checked.
Corrections
If we got something wrong, email info@grandforkslocal.com with the page link and what needs fixing. We review every request and correct factual errors promptly.
