The University of North Dakota Athletics department said the No. 3 Fighting Hawks were set to face Minnesota in the men’s hockey series finale Friday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. Central time at 3M Arena at Mariucci in Minneapolis, following UND’s first loss of the season.
UND entered the game with a 4-1-0 record, while Minnesota was 1-3-1, according to the department’s announcement. The game was scheduled to air on Midco Sports and stream on B1G+, with a subscription required for the stream, the announcement said.
The department said the game could also be heard on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network and on 96.1 The Fox, identified as North Dakota hockey’s flagship station. The announcement listed the all-time series record as 147-138-16 in Minnesota’s favor and described Friday’s matchup as the 302nd meeting between the teams.
In last season’s Grand Forks series, UND won the opener 5-2 before Minnesota took the finale 5-1, splitting the series, according to the department. The announcement said this season was the second in a run of four consecutive years of matchups, with the 2027-28 series scheduled to return to Grand Forks.
