Grand Forks has had a week to enjoy the Fighting Hawks' Homecoming comeback. Now UND heads south for a conference road test. North Dakota, 5-1 overall, plays at Northern Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 10, in the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Kickoff is 4 p.m. CT, per UND Athletics.
What's at Stake
UND climbed to No. 4 in the Stats Perform poll and stayed No. 7 in the AFCA poll this week, UND Athletics reported. Last Saturday at the Alerus Center, the Hawks beat Murray State 55-28 after trailing 21-0, per the Associated Press. Quarterback Jerry Kaminski accounted for four touchdowns, the AP reported. UND Athletics and ESPN list Kaminski with 19 touchdown passes, and UND's release puts the team's scoring at 42.5 points per game, second in the FCS.
Northern Iowa will not be an easy stop. UND's game notes are headlined "road test at upset-minded Panthers," and UNI Athletics says its Panthers are coming off a bye and already beat No. 3 Illinois State at home on Sept. 26. UNI says Saturday is its Homecoming and its second straight top-five opponent inside the UNI-Dome.
Last season, UND beat UNI 35-7 on Oct. 4, 2025, in the UNI-Dome, per UND and UNI game notes.
