The Greater Grand Forks Chamber is set to host a ribbon-cutting from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, with light food, refreshments and giveaways, per the same announcement. Bell said grand-opening events begin the week of Oct. 19.

The Backstory
Bell's Grand Forks presence began with its 2019 purchase of Warner and Company Insurance and its subsidiaries, including a Grand Forks insurance agency, InForum reported. Bell's bank branch in Grand Forks opened in January 2025 in a temporary location on South Columbia Road, the Herald reported. The Herald has also reported on the start of construction on the South Washington site and later said the project was progressing ahead of schedule. Bell has not said, in the sources reviewed, what happens to the Columbia Road location.
What It Means for Grand Forks
Per InForum, the new building is expected to house more than 50 employees across banking, private banking, Bell Insurance and Bell Bank Wealth Management. For customers, that means those services at one address on a major commercial corridor in south Grand Forks.
